see www.iiba.com, they have the main (only) BA certification, not dependent on a specific vendor's training.

Re: Recognized BA Trainers and Certfcation

In Austraia you can also get certified by the Australian Business Analysts Association, but it isn;t internationally recognised and is likely to be overshadowed by the IIBA certification.  The PMI also offers a project member associate certiication which may be suitable for BAs.  Thirdly six sigma provides certiication in skills related to the work of a BA.

Having said that the IIBA offers what is generally considerred the leading certification by the international peak body for business analysts.

Re: Recognized BA Trainers and Certfcation

I echo Craig & David that the IIBA certification is the way to go. You might have to wait until you have the 5 years of work experience as a BA required for the IIBA certification.

So start - take some courses which are IIBA approved and learn as much as you can. Then try to get a BA position. If you have been doing Systems Analysis for a while this might be easy for you as there are many common tasks and transferable skills.

Here are some training courses for you to consider: Training Course Directory.

Good luck!

Re: Recognized BA Trainers and Certfcation

Thanks team for your useful inputs,

Does IIBA  or any other reputed institute/university provide any certification for people who have experience level from 0-3 in Business Analysis.

CBAP certification needs 5 years, Does that mean no other alternative can be taken to get certified till you complete your 5 years of experience in Business

Analysis??

Thanks,

Priyanka.
