How much money should I be asking for?

Hello, I am a user experience designer who will now begin working as a business analyst within the same organization.  My current salary is in the late 40K's and I am not sure what I should negotiate.  I have over 10 years as a designer, which included building prototypes, uses cases, diagrams, workflows, etc., but I am not sure about the money.  I am in Texas; please help me!

Thank you in advance for you assistance!

Re: How much money should I be asking for?

Here in the Portland market, our contract Business Analyst jobs usually pay in the $40 to $48 per hour range. This is for a position requiring 7+ years of experience, and can independently design use cases, workflows, etc.
