Use Case

 Hi,

I recenlty joined a new company and I have a few years of business analysis experience. The PM of the new company is coming from an ERP background and has no experience in BRD/FSD creation. She is asking me to get rid of use cases telling me it is outdated. She is also asking me to create test cases from a proposal document(consisiting mostly of diagrams). I am getting confused and I am given a dead line. When I ask for more details..she asks me to asks questions to get the details. Is this a normal business analysis practice?

Re: Use Case

In my experience, it is not normal practice for the PM to define the BA's deliverables.  Put your analysis skills to work and analyze what the project needs.  Then make your case to the team why the project needs that.  Then deliver that.
