Re: I want to start my career as a Business Analyst

Could this be a seasonal thing?  With a US recession looming plans for this next year are probably being reconsiderred and hiring decisions on hold.  Or it could be that peole are away on holidays and it's only just this last few days taht people are back at work?

Here in Australia the corporate/IT job market basically closes down from mid December to mid January.

Well, I wouldn't be too worried about the response level. Applying over the internet is like direct marketing, where a few percentage point response is great (might you know that already?) So, a reply for every 25 or 50 applications is what you might expect.  In the meantime, have you tried a job agency? They will have access to more jobs than a web portal, especially locally.

What I did want to know was what the position descriptions were like: what skills were wanted, desired experience and all that. Were what they are asking for match up with you want to do as a BA?

Hi Naveen,

As suggested by David, its good approach to visit job consultants (job agency). Just drop your resume to well known consultants in Bangalore.

I would like to suggest you to ask your friend if they are into this field (Business analyst) or their friends (in their circle) who are working as B.A. This is quickest way to get chance of interview call from companies.

Did you register with naukri.com?
