The BA and Digital Transformations
When & Where
Thursday, May 7, 2020 @ 10:00
(PST Pacific Standard Time GMT-8:00)
Virtual
Description
We business analysts are familiar with automation. We’ve been recommending changes in business to further automate manual procedures and to improve the current automated processes. However we are in the throes of a total disruption in which the mere automation of processes is no longer enough. We are looking at fully automated stores, “smart” branch banking, our life at our fingertips in the form of cell phones, and more and more digitization of everything we do.
Does this change the role of the business analyst? The question is, will the business analyst continue to react to changes as they are occurring and spend their time defining software requirements and user stories or will the business analyst be at the forefront of the entire transformation process in the organization?
This webinar provides a look at the disruption of digital transformation to business and to the job of the business analyst, and what the business analyst can do about it.
Topics:
• Automation versus Transformation
• Digital disruption
• An eye toward innovation
• Maintain our business analysis edge

Managing Change in Your Project's Requirements
A typical project has multiple stakeholders working on interrelated requirements. As the Greek philosopher Heraclitus noted, 'Change is the only constant'. As a business analyst, process owner, and project manager, you need to understand how to manage change in your project.
To be successful, you will need to do the following:
1. Control who can initiate the change
2. Define a process for change propagation
3. Define a process for approval of the change
4. View and manage the impact of the change
5. Ensure that the change has been viewed and internalized by all the impacted stakeholders
6. Record and audit the change history
The following industry-standard processes help manage these tasks:
• Folders, Users, Roles, and Permissions
• Traceability
• Dangling, Orphan, Suspect Upstream and Suspect Downstream requirements
• Trace Matrix, Trace Tree, and Change Impact analysis views
• Approval Workflow
• Versioning and Audit Trail
Register today and join us on the live webinar to see how you can equip yourself with industry best practices to manage change in your projects.
