I missed my train and so missed my opportunity to ask my questions.  THe talk I was heading to was promoting aspect cases, whcih you can read about at his website.  I also just discoverred Ivar's blg - http://ivarjacobson.wordpress.com/ (add it to your rss feed everyone.)

I am an Engineering graduate and working with an MNC as a software engineer and working in Java only.
I want to switch as a Business Analyst.
Could anyone of u plz help me out in how to approch for that.

As you are already an application developer, you can easily switch to QA department in the same field (software development).

A QA needs to be a perfect developer first. Having a grip over the programming, you also need some quality management ethics to monitor and control the development departments. You should be creative, sensible such to quickly understand the needs of the client and the project aswell. In this way you can both go towards a better production and team efforts ultimately. A good QA is he who is craetive with in the sense of project needs and requirements, keeping in his mind all the implemantation, usage and marketing aspects of the applications....
