delta analysis 

hi everyone,

could someone pls explain to me what delta analysis is and if it is different from gap analysis.

Hi,

delta normally means change or gap and so I would expect it to be no different. Of course, each use of any buzz phrase depends on the context it has been used and the person (or people) who is using it...

When people speak about lookig at the detas they may lso be saying look at the key decicion points, although this is usually not in relation to operations processes - more around project decisions or product oifecycle decision.  So they may mean look at the releases or versions of software and what has changed in each iteration.

phew!! so i was not far off the mark. I had my suspicions but i had to confirm. i've just started a new job as a BA and was tasked to do a delta analysis and i was like???? coz I'd never heard of it.
