Who is responsible to map the requirements to the solution?

I have about 4 years of experience in siebel as a developer and slowly from last 6 months started taking up business analyst tasks. Usually when we get a requirement, i talk to my client do the requirement gathering and list out all the requirements and prepare Use case diagrams and activity diagrams and give KT to the developer. the developer would prepare the detailed design document/technical design. I never felt any difficulty in analysing the requirements and getting to know where it has to be implemented because i was in the same project and have been a developerand know most of the functionality.

I had an interview yesterday and they asked me how do you map the requirement to the siebel solution. For example you have a requirement which says "Implement the mobile number portability" How would you map that particular requirement to the siebel solution?

I was not able to effectively answer this question. I told her about the requirements gathering, conducting discussions with the client, and getting the final list of requirements etc.. But she was more specific and asked me  How would you map that particular requirement to the siebel solution?

Now my questions are:

Who is responsible to map the requirements to the solution?

How would you map that particular requirement to the siebel solution?

I think your  your Head Of Department responsible to map the requirements to the sollution because they have know, how many peoples are need to the solution. In every solution if they need 10 persons then they openings 100 peoples, In this peoples they choose 10 person because they need only 10 persons. They can selected those person whos have more knowledge of that fields. Each company maping requirement is different.

It answers: Is this story clear, feasible...
In today's fast-paced digital world, successful projects aren't just built on great code—they're built on clarity. And that clarity often comes from one key player: the Business Analyst. At the heart of every great product or system is a need—a business goal, a customer pain point, or a regulatory requirement. But busines...
I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
