Collaboration and Research Key to University’s National Reputation

San Diego, CA – Mar. 24, 2009 – BP Logix, a provider of web-based business process automation and reporting solutions, today announced that the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, one of the Midwest’s top public universities, has selected BP Logix Workflow Director. The selection was made to address UW-Eau Claire’s need to automate workflow and approval of key payroll, personnel and human resources forms. The University expects to begin deploying its initial group of forms based on Workflow Director in early May, as it concurrently evaluates Lean manufacturing and the value stream mapping process.
Founded in 1916, UW-Eau Claire consistently ranks as one of the top public regional universities in the Midwest according to U.S. News and World Report. The University places a special emphasis on experiential learning activities including international studies, faculty-student research collaboration, internships, and community service. UW-Eau Claire is also the University of Wisconsin System's Center of Excellence for Faculty and Undergraduate Student Research Collaboration.

UW-Eau Claire chose to undertake an evaluation process for a workflow/electronic forms solution based on its technology requirements. The requirements for the system included that it be: 1) Web-based and not tied to a single browser; 2) Offer cross- platform compatibility between Windows and Mac; 3) Be easy to install and use and 4) Provide licenses at a competitive rate.  After several months of evaluation and extensive demos and research, UW-Eau Claire selected BP Logix Workflow Director. According to Chip Eckardt, the CIO at UW-Eau Claire, “BP Logix Workflow Director was the only product that met or exceeded all of our requirements for a workflow solution.” UW-Eau Claire has also created a blog that is open to the public and will track the progress of its implementation.  “UW-Eau Claire is a perfect example of an educational institution that will benefit from a system that enables users to effectively develop their own workflows and electronic forms, while also more efficiently routing, tracking, managing and auditing its processes,” said Edward Skiko, CEO of BP Logix. “We are pleased to support UW-Eau Claire as it addresses its business process management requirements.”
