As data sources grow in amount and diversity, companies are facing the new challenge of leveraging data to develop their business strategies. In order to capitalise on the benefits of data knowledge, several organisations have appointed a Chief Data Officer (CDO), which is fast proving to be one of the most valuable emerging C-Suite positions. However, this transition has not come without its challenges, with Gartner stating that only 50% of Chief Data Officers will be hailed a success.

Chief Data Officer Europe hosted by Corinium Global Intelligence returns to London on the 20th-23rd February to enable CDOs and data executives alike to establish the best practices in consolidating the evolving data-leadership roadmap and empower data executives in their journey of transformation.

Data for solving business issues

The line-up of accomplished leading experts from a broad spectrum of industries will share their insights. One of the main themes of the conference is shifting the cultural mind-set to a data-centric method of solving some of today’s critical business challenges. Caroline Carruthers, Chief Data OfficerNetwork Rail who will be speaking at the event, stated about the growth of the CDO role in a recent interview with Corinium:

“What is driving it is a recognition that we have a problem we have never had before, data and information are the lifeblood of an organisation but we are being swamped by it and need to understand how to look after and nurture it to make sure we get what we need.”

The agenda will also emphasise:

·         Building the case for the Chief Data Officer Role and data as a corporate strategic asset.
