Columbia, MD - September 21, 2009 - Artifact Software, Inc., today announced that it is changing its name to workspace.com. The Company's market leading SaaS product, Lighthouse will also change to workspace.com. The name change is effective as of September 21, 2009.

"We are thrilled about the change to the workspace.com brand," remarked CEO, Mark Wesker. "For some time now, we've been working with customers, analysts, and our own team to develop the workspace.com concept. We initially began referring to our Lighthouse product as an online project workspace for technology project teams, and it just stuck. The market has a clear understanding of a workspace, and how important it is to connecting technology project teams. When you have the opportunity to utilize such a strong brand, that in one word clearly describes your product, what it does, and its value, the only thing left is to make the transition as quickly as possible."

The transition to workspace.com is inline with the Company's overall vision for the future of project teamwork. "We see a world where project teams work online, in a collaborative environment that is personalized both for the team, and the individual," said workspace.com CTO, Paul Martin. Martin added, "we've created a unique online experience where teams can choose the applications that make up their workspace, and then individuals can create their own workspaces from those chosen applications. Best of all, our project platform supplies these teams with a set of what we call Core Services that are, in a sense, the power grid for our workspace.com platform. These Core Services include customization, reporting, security, collaboration, user management, dashboards, and search. As workspace apps are plugged into the grid, they are immediately energized by these Core Services to enable a visible and transparent project workspace where teams can effectively, and in real-time, synchronize their activities, analyze project performance, and optimize results."

Along with the new workspace.com brand, the Company is introducing a new web site, new product packaging and a new pricing model. The new product packaging enables customers to subscribe to one or more of eight workspace applications ("workspace apps"), including Requirements Management, Project Planning, Test Management, Time Management, Defect Tracking, Change Management, Document Management, or Issue Tracking.

A new "Flex Plan" sets pricing for each workspace app at only $10 per user/month, and all eight apps are just $35 per user/month. Quarterly subscriptions are available, and annual subscriptions include a further discount. The Company is also introducing a "Team Plan" that brings unlimited user pricing to workspace.com. Any workspace app is now available for $250/month for unlimited users. All eight workspace apps are only $1500/month for unlimited users. Both the Flex and Team plans include workspace.com's Core Services for free.

Along with the new workspace.com brand, the Company's product will begin to undergo a substantial facelift. The entire user interface is being re-designed to embrace the power of the Google Web Toolkit (GWT). Details on the new interface design are not yet being released, but users will be able to recreate a desktop environment in their personalized workspaces. This is consistent with GWT capabilities that offer incredible interface power to browser-based applications.
