BSA career advancemnt

Hi all,

I'm just looking for an entry-level BSA career. I research this area and it seems to be fun and challenging.

Anyone can tell me what's the career view for a BSA. I mean what can I do from a Jr. BSA -> Sr. BSA -> ....

I'd like to catch the bigger view and make a good career plan.

Thanks.

Jane

Hi Jane,

The business analyst career can take you in many different directions - it just depends on you interests and skills.  If you have strong communication and business skills in a given industry you should consider starting your career as an IT Business Analysts.  On the other hands if you have a technical background (i.e. programming) you can begin your career as a Systems Analyst.  There are many options available to you.

Jr. IT BA -> IT BA -> Sr. IT BA -> Functional Architect

Jr. SA    ->   SA  ->   Sr. SA  -> Designer/Architect

Once you determine what you interest are and the type of analyst you want to be you can begin to pick up the skills and competencies require of that role through a variety of methods: courses, books, articles, mentorship, and hands-on experience.

Hope this helps!

I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
