Data Migration

I am new to DatA Migration, could you please share the BA experience in terms of :

- What is the starting point?

- What are the other activities and what is the sequence of those activities?

- Did you draw any data model?

- What tools did you use at each stage?

- What are the challenges at each stage?

A quick response will be very much appreciated.

Re: Data Migration

Hi Sanjay

I am a graduate starting my first job as a grad/entry level BA

I am starting my 1st project called 'Customer Master' changing from current Siebel to Seibel 8 in which 88 attributes in the current siebel doe's not exist in the target seibel.
I would like to also know what the starting point is, what steps and activities to carry out for each stage right up to the handover to the developers etc.

Any help in regards to this will definitly help me

Thanks
