Re: Please do answer the questions

Hi Sakhi

That's a lot for one question.  I'll give some short andswers via links below, but for more in depth andswers = what areas are you most interested in and how do you want to apply the knowledge?

  • About RUP
  • info on use cases (contact the author is you want to start a discussion)
  • Collaboration diagrams
  • BA's usually own production of FDDs, Designers own production of SDD and anyone that wants to describe a case will do a use case
  • useability tests (user oriented testing prior to implementation), heuristic evaluaton (good for current state analysis), cognitive walk through (for plnning a UI)
  • This depends on the SLD process, the client and the performing organisation.  Read up on Waterfall development, Spiral Development, V-Model and Agile software development methodologoes.  Try google and wikipedia first and come back if you get stuck.
  • Hopefully the other posts here give you an insight into starting up - but first sep is to learn who the stakeholders are and then planning what you need to do to get to the end of the project.  Speak with the project manager about this.

Good luck with your research and let us know if you have more questions.

Re: Please do answer the questions

Hi Sakhi,

Did Craig answer your questions the way you expected?  Do you have any more questions or need clarifications in any specific areas?  Of course - specific questions would more useful then generic ones (like "What does a Business Analyst do?") as those are hard to answer in one forum thread.

Best regards,

- Adrian
