 Understanding the business and the needs of the business even if they don't. The ability to take what they tell  you and interpret it back to them, absent technical terms, in a way they can understand it. All soft skills but that is what sets apart a great BA from everyone else. Anyone can learn the software tools but the ability to listen and interpret is golden.

     Hi, I am working for an IT staffing company, caled Vitaver which is often hires BA. Below I have gathered the most important skills based on the requirements that we receive from the clients.

  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Ability to communicate well
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Analytical skills
  • Leadership
  • Customer orientation (customer service by another name)
  • Results orientation
  • Willingness to drive and embrace change
