How to over come Language Barrier in project

Hi,

I am working on a project where requirements elicitation takes place in Dutch language. I know English. Currently project is experiencing a big gap in the actual translation of the business. I have been chosen in  new role where I need to take all the stuff from dutch business and then  translate the session and present it to the offshore development team.

There are other business analyst who are working with customer in local language (dutch). they again communicate those thing to me in English. Now a task has been assign to me to workout a way to handle the issue of getting knowledge transferred to team coherently.

Can any body help me in giving ideas and insights, What should be my Approach to deal with it.

Best Regards,

Hi Gaurav,

Clearly if you rely on other people to give you requirements it won't work. You need to speak with the business people directly. I've run workshops where there is simultaneous translation provided by interpreters translating into our earphones. Probably expensive but it does work.
