Would anyone even want to hire me as a BA?

I'm thinking about making a career change but I'm not sure this is even worth pursuing as I don't have any experience in this exact field. A friend is an IT BA and says my skills/personality would be a perfect fit for the job though and it honestly does sound like something I'd be good at and really enjoy. I love working with people. I love details. I love researching. I love problem solving.

I have a degree in Business Administration (2010). I ran a small wireless telcom company working with small mobile businesses and regular families for a while right out of school. That market started drying up and started increasingly moving to just internet orders so I took my sales skills to Real Estate. Tried it for several years and hated it. Switched to Financial Planning thinking that would keep the parts of Real Estate that I love (working with people, sales, the flexibility of being self employed, etc) while dropping what I hated and I'd be better able to use my extremely analytical mind and strong math skills.

I'm thinking now that it may still be a bit too up and down as far as income goes and I'd be better suited to something more financially stable. I'd also like to cut back from working 70+ hour weeks that involve a lot of nights and weekends, and I'd really appreciate something that's more mentally challenging than emotionally challenging.

Would I even have a shot at getting an interview? I interview really well with all of my past sales experience but I don't know how to get my foot in the door so that's the main part I'm concerned about.

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
