Good luck in your new role. You are doing the right thing by seeking out the advice of others and being aware of how new all this will be for you. You've received a lot of great advice. I would only add a few other ideas.
It sounds like you might be starting in a new role where there is not yet a defined process. If this is the case, i would take some time to really think about what the process should be and be sure to ask all your stakeholders how you can best help them in your role. This will ensure you've got buy-in on the direction you take.
The other idea you might consider is soliciting the help of a mentor. Look for a mentor in your organization, at your IIBA meetings, or through social networks like this one. A mentor would be able to help you be more confident in your approach and craft responses to any issues that come up. They'd be able to provide guidance based on their experiences, review deliverables, make suggestions to help you avoid common pitfalls, etc.
Again. Good luck!
