Online Study Group anyone?

I just ordered my BABOK Audio Flashcards and CBAP Study Guide from Watermark. Anyone interested in starting our own study group online? We could meet through skype ( my contact name is cottonfamily17) and we can review the templates here on modern analyst, review how to fill out the application, go through a couple chapters and discuss them every time we meet online.

Anyone interested? Let me know by replying to this post.

Thank you,

Sarah

Vishal:

Where to start studying the BABOK?  That is a great question!

The authors of the BABOK state that there is no "starting point"  so to speak.   Notice how the BABOK is organized by liberal use  input/process/output diagrams.   Input/output diagrams are essentially non-integrated data flow diagrams (why the BABOK did not use integrated diagrams, ie. DFD's is a topic of great importance in its own).   Input/output diagrams are non-sequential in nature.  Basically, any task can start at any point, provided required inputs to the task are present.

If there was a "start" and a "finish" to the BABOK, the authors would have undoubtely used sequence based diagramming techique, as these are easier for most to follow.

So, I suggest just jumping into a section that looks interesting.

Tony

Also, always remember, the BABOK presents what is popular, not what is logically correct.   Often there is a significant difference between the two.

I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
Now, I know, I don’t know what kind of new intro BPO may require, but at least I can promise you upfront that I have something different to say about Business Process Outsourcing or simply BPO. What is it? This hasn't been a call center job or a sales job as we all think. It is a mammoth profile, and firms are grappling to ge...
