IT Support Specialist

What you will be doing:

The IT Support Specialist provides support to the CIMPAR team, including maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing both back-end and desktop/user equipment, software, and IT relatable infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing the day-to- day operations of the computer network and CIMPAR websites, as well as manage the network administration responsibilities. You will be responsible for the support and maintenance of technology systems which may include diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues and overall end-user support. Salary and Benefits:

The expected hiring range is: $75,000

How you will spend your time: 

Maintain inventory of all company phones, computers, laptops, and other equipment. 
Regularly evaluate all-3rd party software to ensure it meets CIMPAR's needs.  
Administers and maintains all 3rd party software to ensure proper functionality.  
Manage Microsoft Active Directory on a regular basis. 
Ensure data storage is safe and secure through industry-standard security measures. 
Installs, configures, and upgrades security software (e.g. antivirus programs). 
Monitors network activity to identify vulnerabilities.   
Maintain and enhance computer/cyber security training for staff.  
Process all new hires, terminations, and access requests in a timely and well-tracked manner. 
Assist staff with Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft Outlook, and Office 365.  
Provide desktop support for computers and software through phone and direct contact with staff at all levels. 
Enforce company IT procedures and standards. 
Maintains and enhances overall IT training for staff. 

Skills:

Additional Skills:

Qualifications:

A degree in computer science or at least one I.T. certification is required. 
1–2 years of experience in I.T. support is required. 
Experience with Microsoft Local Active Directory.  
Experience with Microsoft 365. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with server and network basic functionalities is preferred. 
Knowledge of one or more of the following: Windows (Win7, Win10), macOS, and/or Linux. 
Experience with Scalefusion or any MDM (mobile device management) is preferred. 
Experience with Zendesk or any ticketing system is preferred.   
Experience in project management and planning, process mapping, group presentation, leadership, team building, and written and verbal communication is preferred. 
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, IT assets, IT asset management, and IT asset setup and troubleshooting.
