Business Solutions Analyst Job in Jacksonville, Cincinnati (Blue Ash), New York City, Dallas, Multiple Locations

This multi-faceted and dynamic technical analyst will help bridge gaps between business objectives, the user experience and technical implementation. Business members will turn to you for solutions on how to bring their concepts to life across the various client-owned internet and mobile assets, and in many instances you will be expected to help flesh out some of those ideas. With an understanding of the business objectives, a clear picture of the time and resource constraints and your broad knowledge of the current tools and infrastructure, you will research the optimal implementation approach by collaborating with various teams. In doing so, you will also try and anticipate any long-term business objectives and account for them in your recommended implementation approach. Once your research is complete, you will present the solution to senior executives in order to get buy-in on the approach. Once an objective goes from concept to actual implementation, you will work with the business to flesh out detailed requirements and be responsible for developing a content management solution that will provide the highest level of efficiency for future maintenance. In some cases you will be evaluating vendor solutions when functionality cannot be built in-house.

The ideal candidate has a development background (front-end coding a plus) but is strategically minded and wants to play a bigger role in the conceptualization phase of an initiative. They are proactive, collaborative, approachable, energetic and highly articulate, as they will be instrumental in translating technical nomenclature into plain language for the business, and vice versa.

• Consult with various Business and Creative teams during the project conceptualization phase to fully understand their near and long term objectives (locally and globally), in an effort to develop an efficient implementation strategy that will help reduce project scope by leveraging the tools, platforms and resources that the business has at their immediate access. For longer-term objectives, provide prioritization and a logical road map for implementation.
• Analyze project requests and ensure that Internet & Mobile channel requirements have been clearly and holistically defined, as well as impacts across other projects, platforms, work streams and functional teams, all in an effort to procure accurate sizing during the prioritization process. Represent the business during prioritization process of those business requests so impacts are plainly understood by the various delivery teams.
• Help architect content management solutions when existing systems will not support the initiative at hand. Transfer that knowledge to the downstream content development production group and assist them in resolving issues which may arise during the content construction phase of a project.
• Collaborate with creative teams to recommend design solutions that meet the user experience goals but are also efficient to implement and maintain, and which do not negatively impact performance.
• Contribute the evaluation of new or upgraded vendor products to determine potential impacts to existing platforms and systems.
• Remain extensively knowledgeable in new web and mobile technologies, best coding practices, industry standards and competitive advantages. Drive best in class solutions then proactively connect the dots between innovation and business objectives.
• Responsible for understanding the financial industry, competitive advantages, business products and services, including business rules and use cases.

• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• The candidate must be technically minded and have an in-depth understanding of the internet and mobile space. Exceptional analytical skills are required in order to; absorb a high volume of information across various groups (IT, Operations, Marketing, Information Security, etc...), objectively process that information, connect all of the dots and quickly generate an implementation strategy that will best serve current and future business objectives (local and global). Advanced understanding of current web development languages, tools and trends (HTML5, CSS3, JS, etc...) are a must. Solid understanding behind the concept of content management, its benefits and how to leverage CMS effectively. Background in strategy, user experience, information architecture fields are a plus, as well as financial services.
• The majority of this work requires intellectual skills and the application of sound judgment and discretion during the conceptualization of a project/product by analyzing the immediate business goals against long-term objectives (local and global), and against what is actually attainable within the afforded time frame and allocated resources. If the ideal state cannot be achieved immediately, it is the Business Solutions Analysts responsibility to strategize and propose alternative approaches that will meet at least some of the business objectives in the short term and a logical roadmap for a phased approach. Once a project is prioritized, the BSA must then anticipate the current and future technical needs of the business and our customers and translate that into requirements that can be benefited from.
• The candidate must be business minded and look beyond the scope of what is being requested. They must be able to present ideas to the business teams that they themselves may not have considered because technical capabilities are not their area of expertise. This candidate must be able to understand the business benefits of new and existing products, how the particular idea fits into a larger business strategy, the P&L benefit and the customer experience benefits in order to help prioritize and deliver on initiatives.
