General Job Description
Our newly formed Business Analyst Team is looking for a talented, driven, and dedicated Sr. Business Analyst to help shape and build our team, while taking on the business analyst role in challenging, mission-critical projects. In addition to your project business analyst responsibilities, you will work in conjunction with Sr. IT Manager, Sr. Business Analyst, and other business units to develop and drive best practices associated with requirements gathering and translating business needs into effective technology solutions. Serving as a coach to other business analysts, you will help our team develop strong business analysis skills and capacity to take on increasingly complex tasks and projects. Finally, as our business is still relatively young and our team is new, we look forward to you bringing in new ideas on how we can become a best-in-class Business Analyst Team and deliver value to our business.

Supervisory Responsibility: Some oversight of process and deliverables of other business analysts
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive:

• Perform business analysis activities
o Work as liaison among diverse stakeholders to drive requirements gathering and user acceptance process for assigned projects
o Identify and assess business issues and recommend potential solutions
o Assess and validate solutions against business value and opportunities
o Perform business analysis planning, including identification of appropriate stakeholders and information that must be obtained, prioritization of tasks based on business value, verification that all requirements support delivery of business value and objectives, and assessment of impact on all primary and secondary systems
o Write clear, concise, and unambiguous business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, and UAT test cases using business use cases, interaction diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams, and other UML techniques, IDEF1X or EXPRESS
o Conduct requirement gathering sessions, and effectively elicit and help stakeholders negotiate and prioritize requirements
o Utilize rapid prototyping tools and techniques to facilitate the development of graphical user interfaces and applications
o Work with the business to create proposals for modification of existing systems and future state systems based upon the needs of the business
o Work closely with developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and business process uniformity of current and future state technological systems
o Work with Quality Assurance and the Document Manager/Technical Trainer to provide training to users of new systems
o Translate business requirements into specified project briefs for presentation to management, development, and Quality Assurance teams
• Multi-task across several mission-critical projects
• Senior level responsibilities
o Participate in the development of the Business Analyst role and standardize and uphold the BA processes and deliverables for growing team of Business Analysts
o Serve as a coach and resource to develop the skills and talent of the Business Analyst Team
o Work with the business to create logical and innovative solutions to support changing business processes by integrating streamlined future state needs with current state needs, while maintaining technological integrity and adhering to industry standards

Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline. Combination of education and progressively responsible work experience in related discipline may be substituted in lieu of degree on a year-for-year basis. Advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis in a process-driven environment, with proficiency in performing business analysis as described in the “Essential Duties and Responsibilities” section of this job description
• Minimum of 3 years experience with process modeling methodologies
• Minimum of 2 years experience with end-user training
• Minimum of 2 years experience using system, process, data flow modeling and prototyping tools
• Minimum of 1 years experience reading and interpreting relational data models
• Clear understanding of and experience with full software development life cycle
• Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint,Visio)
• These qualities are preferred:
o Minimum of 2 years experience with Agile Development Methodologies such as SCRUM, RAD (Rapid Application Development) and Extreme Programming
o Healthcare or pharmacy background

Language Skills:
Demonstrate fluency in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.

Vision Requirements:
Possess visual acuity adequate to perform essential duties and responsibilities of position.

Physical Demands:
Physical requirements may vary and must be reviewed with management on a case-by-case basis. However, in general, the position requires the following physical activities:
1. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds unassisted.
2. Ability to sit for extended periods of time and to perform some standing, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching; moderate range of body motions.
3. Ability to use computer and all peripherals for extended periods of time (hand/finger dexterity) to meet performance goals and submit deliverables within deadlines.
