Business Analyst (Marketing Analytics) Job in Woking, Surrey

To develop the company's ability to leverage insights to drive organic growth by establishing a 'learning' system and culture.

- Ability to work with multiple data sources at both the technical and analytical level. This involves:
Software Skills: Basic understanding of database structures and the ability to extract data utilizing tools such as SPSS. Expertise in MS Excel
Analytical Skills: From crosstabs to standardized testing; regression modelling (important) and multivariate analysis.

- Experience at a FMCG or high level consultancy
- This role would suit an individual with strong numerical skills coupled with the ability to understand key marketing and business issues. The business analyst will spend considerable amounts of time with SABMiller resources globally and therefore it is imperative that this individual can not only analyse data but also communicate successfully with their stakeholders.
- Ideally you will have a degree in quantitative field (statistics, quantitative social science, econometrics, etc.) or equivalent.
- You will be able to function independently to design, analyse and interpret advanced analytics for marketing research clients. The successful candidate will have experience of consulting with non-statisticians and business executives regarding marketing research analytics.

- Create analytical frameworks and tools to quantify the effectiveness of our marketing and trade activities. This includes generating insights and developing tools for Brand and Shopper Insight teams.
- Development of ROI metrics (both quantitatively/qualitatively) for measuring all:
1. Media paid and earned digital activity.
2. Promotions activities to support trade marketing
3. Sponsorships and tasting events.
- Leading consumer/shopper insights, category management, and marketplace analytics. Responsibilities include:
1. Develop and lead the effort to broaden and deepen the Insights and Analytic knowledge base throughout the organization, driving internal demand and fostering the use of insights to enhance decision making.
2. Lead the entire research process from assessing needs and insight discovery through to recommending appropriate actions and tracking performance against those actions.
3. Provide insights and recommendations on key trends impacting the business.
4. Keep current on latest and best research practices and be a visible and proactive leader in the research industry.
- Support the development of our Segmentation approach (consumer, shopper and customer) to quantify growth opportunities.
- Develop, implement and support robust, user-friendly tools and systems to facilitate in-market use of analytics.
- Coach and train local teams on the development and use of analytics. This includes the training on Marketing Spend Effectiveness - our internal processes for measuring marketing spend.
- Lead the development of processes and systems for capturing information/learning to enable easy application in business, brand and channel planning.
- Leverage cross-market information/learning to draw insights and apply those to the overall SABMiller strategies, best practices and business performance indicators.
