new to the forum
Hi guys, I just started a new job as a BA and I was asked to setup a meeting with all employees in the building to know what their roles and responsibilities are. They also wants me to get whatever issues they have with IT and their wishes. I would like to send everyone a meeting invite, but I don't know how they will feel. I have only been on t he job for 2 weeks and I am new to this role. Can someone please advice me on what to do? Thanks

Re: new to the forum

Hi James,

My advice to you is "start small and start slow".  There is no need to setup one big meeting but rather setup individual 1:1 meetings.  Start with the people you know already.  Each meeting/interview with open new insights and will give you the chance to adjust your style and interview for the next person.   At the end of the meeting ask to be introduced to another colleague in the office.  Since the request from you boss sounds a bit generic - it's probably better to have one on one meetings rather than one big group.

Wishing you success!

Adrian
