Help - BRD vs MDD

Does anyone know the difference between a BRD and a MDD??  I am being asked to write both for a project and I have always seen them as near interchangeable.

Re: Help - BRD vs MDD

Hi Tangram,

A BRD generally stands for Business Requirements Document and it is the document where you capture the requirements for your projects (Business Requirements, User Requirements, Regulatory Requirements, etc.).

I'm not sure what MDD stands for if it's used interchangeably with a BRD.  The only meaning that I'm aware of is Model Driven Development which is the idea that a model is first developed (let's say a class diagram) in a modelig tool and then the modeling tool has the ability to generate code based on the model.
