Acceptance Criteria

Hello,

I just wonder when do you actually write the Acceptance Criteria? And HOW Do you elicit it?

I know it is before the development phase, but when exactly? Is it at the time you elicit the User Stories?

Hi,

When to write acceptance criteria: Write acceptance criteria as soon as possible after eliciting the user story, before the development phase begins.

How to elicit acceptance criteria:

Identify the success criteria for the user story.
Ask yourself what must be true in order for the user story to be considered complete.
Write the acceptance criteria in a specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound format.

Tips for eliciting and writing acceptance criteria:

Involve the stakeholders.
Be specific.
Be measurable.
Be achievable.
Be relevant.
Be time-bound.
