Re: Help Breaking out of that "stuck" place...

This is what helps me. Now I'm going to provide a link to a piece of software - so if the moderator thinks this is spam then please feel free to delete.

In essence, when I'm in this "stuck place," what helps me is a quick run through of all the possible models that could help me to clear up inconsistencies - all the ways of breaking up the information / complexity and all the possible methods of sorting it. So for example, breaking up the complexity/information according to stakeholders, according to competitor analysis, according to workflow processes, according to chain activity, according to a PESTLE, according to SIPOC... yada yada yada... .

The software is Guerrilla MBA at clickok.org

It is also good for generally thinking up ways of analysing and presenting information. It basically sorts a load of models into groups and allows you to draw quick maps/charts/matrices/perception maps etc. I emailed the author and he's in the process of adding more models, but it already contains hundreds. Anyway, I use it all the time and find it very useful for the above and as a refresher of all of these models.
