Functional Requirement Document

Hello everyone,

I am hoping you can help me. I have been involved in a project which is purely gathering requirements. I have already done BRD but now they want me to do Functional requirement. I have done Functional before as part of BRD always and this is the first time doing it separate. Unfortunately they don't have any template. I was hoping any one can give me some pointers. A template would be nice. I know what goes in functional I am just not sure if i should giving proposed process and existing process and then proceede onto  functional. Also should they be numbered like Business requirement or as flow chart and screens with details. I have already included screen as part of BRD but gave highlevel description from business point of view.

Thanks

Maha
