<> element on deployment diagram

In the UML 2.2 Specification (available at http://www.omg.org/technology/documents/modeling_spec_catalog.htm#UML) there is no element with <<component>> stereotype on the list of graphic nodes included in deployment diagrams. Any thoughts about it?    Should I use <<component>>’s on deployment diagrams?
