i everyone,

New poster here. I recently landed a job as a BA at a large university, and I'm new to the field but I have background in IT systems administration. I'm being put on a new project and would appreciate some advice. I need to research and discover workflow maangement systems that allow my organization to design and manage workflows. One such product I'm aware of is Sungard (banner) Workflow, which allows users to move information or forms along a path to achieve a desired goal.

Some basic requirements (we're very early in the process, so requirements are scarce):

1. The product would need to world with Java, web services, and oracle/sql in order to communicate with our existing systems.

2. Example of a simple use case: Workflows can be designed to interact with workers/approvers to automatically/manually move forward a process. For example, user1 submits document via web, user2 approves and adds document, and finally it is finished. The software should be able to keep track of the processes for everyone, so workers can keep track of the work and other users such as submitters/managers can see how the process is going. Processes also need to interact with our oracle/sql dbs and cold fusion envrionment.

Does anyone know of other popular products? Also, in what way would you present the findings? Have a matrix to show all the business/functional/technical requirements, and how well each product fit our needs? What other artifacts can I consider?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Agile HR helps teams offer value to their clients more quickly and with fewer hassles through an iterative approach to project management and software development. An agile team produces work in manageable chunks rather than relying solely on a ';big bang'; launch. Teams naturally adjust to change fast because requirements, plans, and results are regularly evaluated, according to Atlassian's definition of agile methodology. This definition clearly states that agile methodology is essentially an approach to project and software development.

Gap analysis is a strategic tool used to assess the disparity between current and desired states in processes, performance, or capabilities within an organization. It identifies areas where improvements are needed by comparing existing conditions to future goals. Commonly applied in business planning'https://scholarshipup.org/'>, project management, and organizational development, gap analysis helps prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively to bridge the identified gaps.

I am currently in a dilemma whether to take up the new Business Analytics course (NUS's SoC) as I feel that it seems like a promising degree with the hype on big data and its versatility in various industries (Finance, IT, healthcare etc). However, I am afraid that the hype on big data is short term and would eventually die down.

Or should I take the safer option and enrol in Business (NTU, NBS) and choose my specialization on Business Analytics on my 2nd year? A business degree from NBS sounds like a safer bet as compared to the relatively new Business Analytics course at NUS. However, NUS’s BA modules has more computing modules which should better prepare me for a job working with large data. The 2 routes have their cons and pros which puts me in a dilemma on what to choose. Please help me out.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi guys! It is the question mostly about necessity of BA. The story is next: I am going to establish my own company (by the way I found nice service which helps me to do that online https://bestllcservices.co/start-an-llc-in-massachusetts/ - as I hate to waste time on formalities) , as my business is small now - we are producing software for cafe, coffee shops, bakeries, restaraunt etc. It is something different from what most of other in this sphere using now. It will be individual soft based on one system. I think we will need a BA as we have already few projects and are going to take more and without help it will be difficult to move forward. And I wonder whether it is necessary to hire BA now, or it it better to wait and watch if we need it or not.

Hello!

I'm struggling hardcore when it comes to drafting a situation statement for an opportunity such as creating a new product to address a customer need. Since situation statement are supposed to be written from the perspective of the business, I'm not sure what the financial impact for the business would be.

There are tons of examples for business problems but I haven't found one yet for opportunities, so I'd love to hear some examples, if possible.

Good day,

Hope everyone is well. I need some advice on the below and hope someone will be able to guide me in the right direction.

<span style='color: black; mso-fareast-font-family: ';Times New Roman';;'>We need a document store solution for an approval framework, the idea being it will be the single source of the truth in terms of what documents business has approved . Currently the doc sits on Sharepoint.<span style='color: black; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: ';Times New Roman';;'>

<span style='color: black; mso-fareast-font-family: ';Times New Roman';;'>The issue is we can't control read or write access to it.

<span style='color: black; mso-fareast-font-family: ';Times New Roman';;'>Anyone encountered this before - how do we store this and control who can view and who can edit it?

<span style='color: black; mso-fareast-font-family: ';Times New Roman';;'>Thank you and have a great day!
