Business Systems Analyst III Job in Virginia Beach, VA
Reporting directly to the Manager, eCommerce & Branch Systems, the position will be responsible to:
• Provide expert level support to end-users for various business systems and applications within the STIHL environment.
• Evaluate business requirements and recommend IT solutions consistent with short and long term strategies, changing business processes, and to improve quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Develop business systems and application requirements and specifications according to business requirements.
• Monitors system performance, performs problem determination and implements changes accordingly.
• Lead documentation efforts, training and testing of business systems and applications.
• Mentor IS analysts and provide guidance where required.
• Interface with external consultants in support of business systems and applications.
• Support company policies and procedures and ensure adherence to STIHL Inc. computer and security policies.
• Maintain and present status of ongoing project milestones and tasks as required.
• Maintain currency in technical skills by attending training classes and seminars as needed.
• All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
• Assume additional related responsibilities as needed.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or an Information Systems related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in supporting software development life cycle and methodologies for enterprise applications.
• Proven experience leading medium to large sized software development projects. Proven ability to work with other business systems analysts and members of an internal/external project teams to develop concept, scope, project plan, design, and architecture of a web application to fulfill business requirements
• 10+ years of eCommerce or B2B experience required; building web-based applications using technologies including but not limited to HTML, WML, CSS, Java/.NET, SOA.
• 10+ years of experience in building and administering SQL databases in relation to the architecture of web-based applications.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot site designs and coding and to create fixes for identified problems.
• Travel required as dictated by project requirements (approximately 2+ weeks per year).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Visio.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation and organizational skills.
Additional Desired Skills:
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Business Administration
• Systems architecture experience including installing server and database components, application servers, and other systems required to completed application platform.
• Experience with Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls, EDI and other systems integration technologies.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Infor ERP SX.enterprise.
• Experience with MS Dynamics CRM and SQL Server.
• Experience with authentication and authorization technologies such as SSO, Open ID, LDAP, Active Directory.
