MANAGER, REPORTING AND DATA ANALYSIS Job in Sydney, New South Wales
Advancement Services supports the Development Office and the Alumni and Events Office in achieving their organisational goals through the provision of three core services: systems management (primarily the Advance C/S database system), information management, and reporting and data analysis. To enable provision of efficient and customer-focused service delivery, Advancement Services is comprised of three teams: a Systems Management team, an Information Management team, and a Reporting and Data Analysis team. Reporting to the Director, Development and Alumni Systems and Services you will be responsible for leading the Reporting and Data Analysis team, which in addition to the manager includes a Reporting and Data Analysis Officer and two Database Report Developers.
As the Manager, Reporting and Data Analysis, you will:
• manage and supervise all activities of the Reporting and Data Analysis team • systematically review existing processes with the view to introducing new or improved processes that lead to increased efficiency and accuracy in reporting and data analysis. • investigate and resolve issues relating to data provided to clients, ensuring that the cause of inaccuracies is identified and procedures reviewed and updated where required • work closely with the Manager, Information Management to ensure that information management processes are understood sufficiently to support efficient and reliable reporting and data analysis • in conjunction with Systems Manager, ensure that accurate and up-to-date user documentation is created and maintained for all front-end custom reports
To succeed in this role you will require the following experience and qualifications:
• significant experience writing and reading advanced SQL including stored procedures, and developing front-end database reports, using a range of reporting tools • highly-developed people skills in managing a reporting or data analysis team with a focus on mentoring and team-building • experience reviewing and streamlining business processes, including developing and implementing new processes and procedures as required • degree with a computer programming, data analysis or information systems focus, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and extensive applicable experience.
Highly regarded, will be experience with SunGard/Advance software.
