A requirements management tool supports the analyst in documenting project requirements, versioning requirements, managing the requirement change process, tracing requirements through the analysis and design process, and tracking the status of requirements.
 
Some examples of requirement management tools are:
Enterprise Architect, Requisite Pro, Telelogic, Caliber-RM

Stages of development are
investigation,
feasability ,
design,
COnstuction and test,
Release.

Tools used is modelling languages.

DOORS-Enables to store requirements,Manages changes to requirements,Aiids in traceability,Ability to store tables and OLE objects,Can intergrate with Quality center for traceability to test cases.
PVCS Version Manager-Versioning of documents and ability to track all the revisions made.
Rational Req Pro-Requirement Management tool
Rational SODA-Creation and Maintenace of Project Documentation
Rational Clearquest-Change Management software also provides bug tracking
