ANSWER

RuleSpeak is a set of guidelines for expressing business rules using a natural language (such as English).  Rulespeak is not a language or syntax itself but rather a set of guidelines to facilitate the creation of business rules that are concise, consistent, and less ambiguous.

Since the business rules written following RuleSpeak guidelines use components of natural language that everyone is already familiar with, it is easy to document the business rules in a business-friendly way while improving the accuracy of communication between various business channels or the business and IT.

RuleSpeak was first developed in 1996 by Ronald G. Ross.  Newer versions have been documented as it has evolved over time. In an effort to improve standardization for documenting business rules the Object Management Group (OMG) released the Semantics for Business Vocabulary and Business Rules (SBVR) in 2007.  Three reference notations were used during the creation of SBVR including RuleSpeak.  The latest version of RuleSpeak is fully consistent with the SBVR standard.

Do your homework prior to the business analysis interview!

Having an idea of the type of questions you might be asked during a business analyst interview will not only give you confidence but it will also help you to formulate your thoughts and to be better prepared to answer the interview questions you might get during the interview for a business analyst position.  Of course, just memorizing a list of business analyst interview questions will not make you a great business analyst but it might just help you get that next job.
